3.2 CICS Transaction Gateway

The CICS Transaction Gateway can reside on a server that is connected to a mainframe host. Examples of platforms supported are AIX and NT. As with the CICS Transaction Gateway for OS/390, a Java program can link to a specific CICS application program using the External Call Interface. In addition, the External Presentation Interface is supported. This enables communication with CICS using 3270 data streams.
